My Day

My Day: plan today with the Panchangam and your chart

My Day turns today's Panchangam and your own chart into a simple plan. It shows the best hours to begin important work, the windows to keep for routine tasks or rest, and a short note on the day's mood from the Moon's position for you.

The day in lanes

The day is laid out from sunrise to the next sunrise in lanes. One lane shows the good hours, from the Hora of helpful planets, Abhijit Muhurta and the Gowri Nalla Neram. Another shows the windows to avoid for new starts: Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam and Kuligai. A third shows the Moon's Nakshatra changes through the day.

Your personal layer

With your birth chart saved, the day is coloured by your Tarabalam and Chandrabalam, by your current Dasha planet, and by any planet transiting a sensitive point. The note at the top sums this up in a sentence or two.

Focus, rest and timing

The plan suggests a focus for the day, such as communication on a strong Mercury day or steady work on a Saturn day, a time for rest, and the best window for the one thing that matters most.

Prayer and practice

Each day lists its weekday deity, the Tithi's observance if any, and a simple practice: lighting a lamp at dusk, a short mantra, or a fast on Ekadashi.

Reminders

Turn on reminders to be told a few minutes before Rahu Kalam starts or a good window opens.

Tomorrow and beyond

Swipe ahead to plan tomorrow or the rest of the week.

Why the day starts at sunrise

In the Hindu calendar the day begins at local sunrise, not midnight. The weekday, its ruling planet and the first Hora all begin at sunrise, and the Tithi and Nakshatra of the day are those prevailing at that moment. My Day follows the same rule, so a plan made at night shows the night as the closing part of today, and tomorrow begins at the next sunrise for your city.

Using the good windows

Not every task needs a good window. Use them for the one or two things that matter most: sending an important message, signing, starting a course, or a first visit. Routine work can be done at any time outside Rahu Kalam.
