What is this?
A drawing board for your floor plan. Draw walls in real units, add doors, windows, stairs and columns, set true north, and see each room’s zone and reading as you draw.
How Vastu Shastra reads it
Each room is read by the zone its centre falls in, out of sixteen 22.5° zones around the centre of the plot. The main door is read on the ring of 32 entrance padas, and stairs are read against the same room rules. Where the sources give no rule for a room in a zone, the room shows “No rule yet” instead of a guess. Columns are drawn but not read, because the sources do not give marma positions.
Questions
›Which unit does the planner use?
Metres. If you trace over a photo of your plan, set its scale first with a length you know.
›Why does a room say “No rule yet”?
Our sources do not place that room in that zone, either way. We leave it unread rather than guess.
›Can I keep my plan?
Yes. Save it, or export it as an image or PDF from the Export menu.
